exams

caroline perry
Gaunt windows reflect timeless faces,
It was always thus,
-Scribbling, rushing,
Thirsting for answers
Searching through landfills,
Looking for treasure.

Blood rushes forth,
-The dump has been cleared;
Clean of all wanted thoughts
Your hand is frozen
Memory blocked too
Why hasn't time stopped also?

Numbers, words scroll down heavenly eyes,
Adrenalin rushes forth the answers,
Steam comes out your eyes,
They are exhausted,
You long for bed,
You long for it to all be over.

-Exams- they say it all
